Pistol Stance is the only type of hand-gun stance available in Way of the Samurai 4.

In Way of the Samurai Series

Pistols are one of the few weapons that offer ranged attacks, the other being rifles. Each shot fired by a firearm will decrease its durability until it breaks and cannot be used again until repaired by a blacksmith or by using a whetstone before it breaks. There is only one moveset available for pistols, dropped by Count Jet Jenkins who is also the only person capable of using pistols against you. There are only two pistols available in the game, Jacqueline dropped by J.J and Ogre Isle purchased from the Lost & Found under the tracks in Little Britain after obtaining a Gun License. If one is to train for use of any firearm, it is recommended to bring plenty of blade oil and whetstone as firearms will degrade very quickly when fired.
