Replacement Swords are certain swords that are closely - if not exactly - identical to a previous sword that has not recently appeared, acting as that previous swords successor or "replacement" in further games. A well-known example is the replacement sword, Samehadamaru. Samehadamaru was the Replacement Sword of Samehada-tou in Way of the Samurai 3.
